How to find my Peachtree program serial and build number? |

To locate your program's registration information and build number, please click on "Help" inside your program, and then select
"About Peachtree Accounting" from the pull down menu. Your license information will get displayed on the screen including your
registered name, service release number, build number and serial number. |

How do I differentiate between a "Single-user" product and "Multi-user" product for Peachtree? |

For a Multi-User pack of Peachtree product, it supports up to 5 concurrent accesses to the same company folder within a Local Area
Network (LAN). You can find a RED sticker on the retail box indicating "Value Pack Multi-User Ready Up To 5 Users" affixed to the
outer package of these products. In addition, the serial number itself will also differentiate a "Value Pack" product from a
"Single-User" product as well. For a single user product, registered user may install the Peachtree program on any ONE machine
ONLY. Installing a single-user license product onto more than 1 machine violates the license agreement and is against the law. |

Chinese characters properly. Furthermore, end-users
are strongly suggested to use the preloaded Microsoft

Chinese input methods or devices may not work with Peachtree
program. |

Provided that your companies have the same chart of account IDs, Peachtree Premium Accounting allows you to run up to 20 customized Financial Statements in consolidated format. |

Is there a limitation on the company file size for each
Peachtree company? |

Peachtree does not impose a hard limit on database capacity, however, individual performance will vary depending on actual number of transactions, database size, and number of concurrent users. It is recommended each Peachtree company not to exceed 150MB in file size. |

Another user is using the same serial number under Peachtree. |

If your Peachtree program was not properly shut-down
in the first place, you would get this error message
the next time you restart Peachtree. For most instances,
you can just simply reboot your machine and Peachtree
program should start again properly. If this does not
fix the error, you will have to do a search for "connco.dat"
and "conndp.dat" from your current Peachtree datapath.
If any of these files were found, delete them and restart
Peachtree. |

The Excel button in Peachtree is grayed out. How do
I use this button? |

If the Excel button in Peachtree is grayed out, which
means your current version of Microsoft Excel is not
supported by Peachtree version. Peachtree 2006 supports
Microsoft Excel 2000 / XP / 2003. |

With an upgrade to Peachtree 2010, you will be able to see ‘real-time’ information from your current open 2 years plus 1 closed year, all within Peachtree. Once you upgrade to Peachtree 2010, you historical information will begin to build year over year
* Upon upgrading to Peachtree 2010, 3 years of converted Peachtree Financial Statement data and account balance data on General Ledger reports will be readily accessible, as well as data for future closed years. |

When the new database is in use, how far back can customers be and convert automatically? |

Customers as far back as release 8 can convert to Peachtree release 2010. However, we only tested conversions from release 8.0 (2001) and thereafter. |

Can both the previous releases of Peachtree and 2010 co-exist on the same workstation? |

Peachtree has switched its database engine handler from Btrieve 6.15 to Pervasive 9.1 database from Peachtree 2007 and now is using database engine Pervasive® 10.12 in Peachtree 2010. Therefore, it is not recommended to run different release of Peachtree programs on the same computer. |

Is there a maximum database size recommended for companies created under Peachtree 2010? |

If your database size is larger than 250MB, we recommended you to upgrade to Quantum, a robust solution which specially designed for handling high capacity database. |

Does the Pervasive® 10.12 database used for Peachtree 2010 conflict with other products that also use Pervasive but a different version ? |

Yes, possibly. For instance, Sage BusinessWorks and Peachtree on the same workstation would have compatibility issue during installation. Pervasive will need to be uninstalled with Peachtree and reinstalled from the Sage BusinessWorks CD. |
